doppio is a young-appearing, seemingly naive guy who in canon has d.i.d. or dissociative identity disorder, speaking with and shifting to his double [as his name implies], diavolo
most of the fandom gets this, and understands doppios disorder relatively well. however, what i see time and time again are people stating that diavolo is the main body while doppio is the alter and araki has taken very careful measures to show that the opposite is true!
